JCI Area Conference Public Speaking Topics Revealed JCI members voted to select which topics would be chosen for each 2014 JCI Area Conference. The JCI World Public Speaking Competition is a JCI Program that focuses on developing and showcasing JCI members’ ability to share ideas on important local, national and global issues. Participants are challenged to exercise their public speaking skills, clearly express creative ideas and captivate an audience of peers.  JCI members use their public speaking skills in local meetings, reaching out to media and working with local partners as they collaborate to create positive change. In this competition, participants practice a skill that will support their local efforts to encourage all sectors of society in their community to Unite to Impact.  Each year, representatives from JCI National Organizations compete at JCI Area Conferences to become the JCI Public Speaking Champion of their Area.
